sweet auburn festival 2010 | Sweet Auburn Spring Fest 2010 America's Festival 2010
Come out and celebrate the “Grandest Festival of the Year, on the Greatest Street on the Planet” at The Sweet Auburn SpringFest 2010 ‘America’s Festival’.
Sweet Auburn Springfest is the largest Multicultural Street festival in the South. Held In the historic Sweet Auburn District of Atlanta, and its a family event.
From Thursday through Saturday, you can catch the last three nights of this year’s 500 Songs for Kids fundraiser.
Plus, there’s the musical “Mary Poppins” at the Fox Theatre and Sister Louisa’s “Heaven and Hell” at Aurora Coffee in Little Five Points.
Now the Festival is back once again on May 7, shutting down the area from Spring Street to Boulevard. There are so many sights to see, and multiple pre-festival events. One that is of particular interest to me is the “So You Think You Can Step” competition (May 7). I know all of the old Chicago style steppers will be out to show what they can do.
The Sweet Auburn Festival is a 3-day event, the times are:
Friday, May 7 5 p.m. - 10 p.m.
Saturday, May 8 11 p.m. - 8 p.m.
Sunday, May 9 2 p.m. - 8 p.m.
Books will be available for purchase and autographing. ..
