Gotham Awards 2010 Nominations
The Independent Filmmaker Project, which calls itself America's oldest and largest organization of independent filmmakers, "today announced the nominees for the 20th Gotham Independent Film Awards. The Gotham Awards consists of six competitive categories: Best Feature, Best Documentary, Breakthrough, Breakthrough Actor Best Ensemble Performance and Best Film not playing at a theater near You.A total of 26 films, among them early awards-season favorites The Kids Are All Right, Black Swan, Blue Valentine and Winter's Bone, was selected.
Awards season is just around the corner, and though it seems a bit early yet, are the first nominations rolling in. Below is a list of candidates for the 2010 Gotham Independent Film Awards. Last year's Best Picture winner, Kathryn Bigelow, The Hurt Locker, won numerous other awards including best film Oscar. The Gotham Awards '20 commemorative ceremony will be held Monday, November 29 at Cipriani Wall Street. The Gotham Awards celebrates the collective spirit of independent cinema, "said Joana Vicente, director of the Gotham Awards' 2010 IFP.The ceremony will be held Monday, November 29 at Cipriani Wall Street in New York.
