Indian technology Story is beyond internet/mobile industry. Now a day, Indian technology made a cool refrigerator out of clay. This Refrigerator does not require electricity. It product is eco-friendly and not to harm of the earth.

Conceptualized in 1997, Mitticool is developed by Gujarat based Manshuk Lal and the product works on the basic principle of evaporation. The Mitticool takes about eight days to get ready. Priced between $58 - $80 (INR 2500 to 3500), it’s a cheap and an eco-friendly alternative to the conventional fridge.

Mitti Cool Refrigerator weighs 20 kg (height:18.5’’ and width of 11’’) and the way it works is very simple – Water from the upper chambers drips down the side, taking heat from the inside gets evaporated, leaving the chambers cool.

Some Features:

  • Better preserve the original taste to fruits and vegetables.
  • Very good alternative for the rural people who does not afford the conventional refrigerator due to high initial cost and its maintenance cost.
  • It does not require any maintenance.
