New Indian Rupee Symbol To Be Decided By Indian Government Today

Reserve bank of India and central government of India has finally determined that it will go with any one of the 100 new symbols on Indian rupee, which has designed, by hundred designers across the world.

Rupee Symbol will be announced which can be used all over the world like we use $ for United States Dollar, £ for Great Britain Pound and € for Euro.

Before one year Indian government announced the competition to design the new rupee symbol will win a prize of Rs 2,50,000 and the most important criterion for the new rupee symbol choices were:

• The symbol should be applicable to standard keyboard.
• The symbol has to be in the Indian National Language Script or a visual representation.
• The symbol should represent the historical & cultural ethos of the country as widely accepted across the country.
