Manisha Koirala to Marry Nepali Businessman Samrat Dahal
Samrat is the youngest of three siblings. While his eldest brother Suraj is into education, heading the Kathmandu Academy for Plus II students, and being associated with the Sano-Thimi Technical Institute, his elder sister Shuvashree is doing her PhD in the US. Samrat himself too studied there but is now back in Nepal to set up his own bio-gas plant.
Manisha Koirala, a 40-year-old Bollywood super-star has finally decided to get married .Last month she told that she is planning to marry a Nepali and stay in Nepal. The lucky Nepali, Samrat Dahal, has recently returned from US after completing his study in alternative energy.
KATHMANDU: In 2001, she broke off her engagement to the then Australian ambassador to Nepal, Crispin Conroy, saying she was not yet ready for marriage. Last year, she was to have tied the knot with American author, speaker and mental toughness trainer Christopher Dorris but wedding bells did not ring. Now, Nepal’s star in Bollywood, Manisha Koirala, is ready to return to her roots by taking the plunge with fellow Nepali Samrat Dahal.
According to The Himalayan Times, the marriage decision was made on Monday, April 5. According to the traditional ceremony, Swyambar will be done on Ashad 3. June 17, 2010, Mehandi on Ashad 4, and marriage will be done on Ashad 5 Nagariknews published the date as Ashad 19 i.e. July 3. The official announcement is yet to be made, hence there are conflicting dates in different news.
The 40-year-old actress, the country’s most eligible single woman, will finally say “I do” to Nepali businessman Samrat Dahal with the wedding set for June 19, 2010. The would-be bridegroom was reportedly educated in the US and is a businessman. While not much is known about him, his father Surendra Dahal made his fortune in the leather industry.
