Ravi Baswani was a famous Indian actor. He was known for his comedic abilities and drive a sign of the true meaning. He started his career in 1981 with Chashme Buddoor and made many successful films such as comedian and / or as a character artist. He also played many times on Indian TV.

One of his big hits was the cult comedy Jaan BHI Do Yaaro, which he won the Filmfare Best Award Comedian in 1984। Baswani died after a massive heart attack 27 July 2010.

There were plans to make sequel to "Jaan BHI Do Yaaro" by Kundan Shah, Nase Uddin Shah and Ravi Baswani, but something went wrong, and the project was delayed indefinitely.

Filmmaker Sudhir Mishar remember Baswani as a talented actress. He said, "Me, Ravi, David Dhawan and Aloknath lived in the same building, after I moved to Mumbai in 1980 and I have good memories with Ravi of my time there. I feel I have lost a part of me with Ravi goes away.

But many friends in the industry have Baswani been very close to their Jaan BHI Do Yaaro Costa Nase Uddin Shah. Baswani was part of the nose's directorial debut, Yun Hota To Kya Hota. Baswani also played a major role in films like Bunty Aur Babli, Kabhi Kabhi Haan Well, Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya, etc. Can he continue to spread laughter in heaven.
