Sikkim Manipal University Directorate of Distance Education is one of the famous universities among the distance education universities in India. It was established in 2001 by the Sikkim Manipal University of Health, Medical and Technological Sciences. It offers many regular and distance courses recognized by the UGC.

The admissions are opened for 2010 batch. All the interested and eligible candidates can apply at www.manipal.edu. DD of Rs. 500 should be drawn on Manipal University payable at Manipal or Udupi (Karnataka) and should enclose with the application form available at particular branches of the state bank of India and post office.
