India Overtaken By Pakistan In Nuclear Power
Thursday, June 3, 2010
Pakistan makes a better product of nuclear India, then Pakistan is increasing rapidly in India. A number of recent estimates of the international nuclear watchdog and known think tanks that hold Pakistan has a total of 70-90 warheads in relation to India, China 60-80, in comparison, has about 240 warheads.
Even as global fears the possibility of jihadists to gain access to Pakistan's nuclear arsenal, enriched uranium or technical know-how to continue their murderous statement will only grow in years to come.
India's nuclear weapons program in return was mostly plutonium-based, initially centered on the Pu-239 produced in research reactors Cirus and Dhruv as the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre.
Nuclear arsenals of India, Pakistan and even China, pale in comparison to the gigantic those of two former Cold War adversaries, the United States and Russia. SIPRI estimates that there are a whopping 22,600 active, inactive and stored nuclear warheads worldwide, enough to destroy it several times.
Furthermore, there is still controversy in India over whether the country has a credible nuclear or hydrogen bomb, since some experts say 45-kiloton nuclear device tested under the Pokhran-II tests in 1998 was "a fizzle."
Pakistan's nuclear inventory is reproduced with permission from China which is known to have released drawings of rockets it has already developed and started with M11 missiles more than a decade ago. Rogue nuclear scientist AQ Khan is also linked to North Korea to improve Pakistan's nuclear arsenal.
