Danica McKellar has confirmed that she and her hubby Mike Verta are expecting their first child together.

“I’m nearing the end of my first trimester and I’m so excited – I’ve been bursting to tell people,” she said to PEOPLE.

The couple, married since 2009, have not been mainstream as far as appearances or tabloids.

McKellar is the author of two books, “Math Doesn’t Suck: how to Survive Middle-School Math without Losing Your Mind or Breaking a Nail” and “Kiss my Math.”
