Khichdi-The Movie is about a hare-brains dream of a snail brains bunch of lovable losers. Mumbai, August 1927 cast of popular TV show "Khichdi", which has now become a movie that seeks the blessings of Shah Rukh Khan, who made a successful transition from being a TV actor in a Bollywood superstar. The big screen adaptation, which is also expected to feature Satish Shah and a special appearance by Farah Khan, will be released by Fox Star Studios 1st October.



The film's cast had apparently written a letter to Shah Rukh and even gathered outside his Bandra house Mannat to release the first look at the film Friday. But Shah Rukh does not turn up. Produced by Hats off Productions, and written and directed by Aatish Kapadia, the film stars actors Anang Desai, Supriya Pathak and Girish Sahdev.

Yet it seems that the nostalgia of the serial will help it make the Box Office. The theme and story of the film has nothing new to offer the average movie is made.
