Manohari Singh (08/03/1931 - July 13, 2010) was an Indian saxophonist and was a key player in the Bollywood film composer Rahul Dev Burman team. He died after a cardiac arrest, July 13th 2010 in Mumbai.



In addition to playing alto saxophone, was Manohari Singh is also the music assistant and arranger for RD Burman. He has played saxophone for many RD Burman compositions, including the famous hit "Puzzle Rahe mera dil" from the film Guide. He has also played for the songs in the latest movie Chalten Chalten (2003) and Veer Zaara (2004).

"A very good sax player, great arranger and a wonderful human being ... Manohari since gone ... My deepest condolences to his family," she posted.

He got his first breakthrough in 1958 with Sachin Dev Burman as saxophonist for the movie .
Asha was recently accompanied by Manohari Singh and two other associates of Burman – Kancha and Homi Mullan – on the sets of Sony TV’s music reality show “Indian Idol 5” for a special episode on her late husband. Megastar Amitabh Bachchan too reacted to his death.
