The REALavatah Movie Review

Review: As a film, hit and miss. At this point, I thought machete would be a great schlocky action ride harkening back to the best days of exploitation act. While Danny Trejo does not have a heck of a lot to do here other than cutting up evil with his machete, he looks absolutely badass, and seems to be relishing his turn to play hero. This movie was very enjoyable. This film was a comedy.

Director: Robert Rodriguez and Ethan Maniquis
Written:Robert Rodriguez and Alvaro Rodriguez
Starring: Danny Trejo, Michelle Rodriguez, Steven Seagal, Jessica Alba, Cheech Marin
& Don Johnson

The Story: Machete must check out of a hospital, quick and lively, poor men trying to kill him. Spotting a window on the secure end of the corridor, he slices open the belly of one of his pursuers, pulls out the guy's intestines and vault out of the window, down through the window in the floor below. Robert Rodriguez recently, Machete, about one of the dumbest, action-packed splash page, yes, his last, Planet Terror.

Danny Trejo's character is picked up and asked to sign a senator, but is double-crossed in the process. There were only two disappointments I had with Machete. Rodriguez film works best as a fast-paced, interrupted action scenes interspersed with short, clever advertising shouting lines. He had graduated from a 12-step program, and was a consultant second addicts when one of his taxes asked him to come with the set of the 1985 film Runaway Train, based on a novel by a fellow San Quentinite. Only thing to send junior back to school in a good mood.
