India's largest GSM mobile operator Bharti Airtel today officially announced the launch of its new global logo, and more than 200 empirical knowledge 3G zones created, as its subscriber will be able to experience the power of future 3G mobile data services. Sunil Bharti Mittal, Chairman and Managing Director of Bharti Airtel, made the first 3G video calls to their brand ambassador Shahrukh Khan, Airtel 3G networks. Airtel also launched its new signature tune composed by AR Rahman and new TV commercials.

Update 2 : According to Airtel, the new logo is youthful, international, inclusive and dynamic – representing the journey of the first Indian brand to go global. The new identity retains the red colour being an integral part of the brand with a new curved addition to the logo. The curve is a symbol to help ensure instant recognition across diverse international markets.
Update 3 : Airtel also announced that it has crossed the significant milestone of 200 million customers. Airtel crossed 50 million customers in October 2007 and 100 million in May, 2009.

Apart from the above message today Airtel demonstrated its capabilities of 3G services in an event in New Delhi. Airtel has also revealed new TVC and Signature Tune by AR Rahman refreshed to do its youthful and dynamic in line with the new visual identity.
