Lumix DMC-TZ10, Panasonic's flagship travel-zoom camera has a 12x, 25-300mm lens, AVCHD video with stereo sound and built-in GPS geo-tagging. Just under a year ago I reviewed Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ7, so the latest model of Panasonic's successful series of long zoom compact travel cameras. Now, a little over a year later, they released a new version of the same camera called the Lumix DMC-TZ10.

The long zoom compact market is, as I have mentioned before, very competitive and there are several very impressive new cameras to be launched in a few weeks of each other, such as the excellent CX3 Ricoh or Canon SX210 IS. This camera has a 14.5 MP CCD, which can shoot up to 12.1 MP resolution and comes with a powerful optical zoom of 12x. They have been TZ7 camera and got in this area over the last few years, Panasonic has gone all out to ensure that the TZ10 is packed with enough features to keep it on top of its market segment for the rest of the year.

A new and improved image stabilization mechanism called Power OIS is also present in this camera. As is the case with most digital cameras today, this is also equipped with HD video capture at 720p with stereo sound.The back now also has an extra button that allows adjustment of exposure parameters in manual exposure.
