Tuesday, November 16, 2010
Matt LeBlanc will soon grace our TV screens again and this time he will not play Joey Tribbiani - he will appear as themselves. A British husband-and-wife writing team foolishly believe that an American TV exec, when he says he loves his award winning show and want to bring it across the pond as directed. When 'Episodes' debuts on Showtime in January, "Friends" alum play himself in the series about a British couple, whose popular TV show has been recreated for the American audience with LeBlanc in the lead.
Twist - LeBlanc plays "Matt LeBlanc" - is not exactly rare these days and it feels like it's been a while since the U.S. has killed a British show so bad that clutch. "It's not really me. It is a sign that David and Jeffrey wrote that happen to have the same name as me," he told journalists at TCA press tour this summer.
That LeBlanc would drive a wedge between the couple that he ruined their show - it's fun! See the trailer below. "There are some similarities, but mostly it is a fictional character." The worst of the language is bleeped out, but the tone and situations are still a little salty. The first "Episodes" trailer hit the web today, and the series premiere 10 See it in January after the jump.
