Toven pattern The pattern Toven or coin which some refer to it as a self-made aluminum 1974 Lincoln cent design, one of the 1974 aluminum cent.

Thus, the Mint issued the production of an aluminum content ear as a prototype to distribute to members of Congress to gauge their reaction. It never came into circulation, and all except two of the money was seized by the government. One is located at the Smithsonian Institution, the second, known as Toven pattern belongs to the family Toven.
