The yes men | Yes men fix the world | Yes men | Daily show | Fangoria

In his new HBO documentary The Yes Men Fix the world, eponymous pranksters aim unapologetic free market profiteers. Yes but Mike Bonanno and Andy Bichlbaum formulating its agenda concisely: "What we are doing is beyond us as representatives of large companies, we do not like."

It does not take full measure of the duo is enough wit to expose the unbridled greed of corporate executives. At a conference on international finance, Bonanno constitute a spokesman for Dow Chemical (which is responsible for the largest industrial disasters in history, which left 5,000 dead and 100,000 sick people in Bhopal, India after a pesticide plant explosion). To loud applause, Bonanno introduces fictitious "Acceptable Risk Project"

A model that allows organizations to assess the human toll of a business is worth the potential revenue. After the presentation, an audience member approaches Bonanno. "Whatever you do you will cost you some life, the man has a boyish giggle, but if you want to earn money in the process, it is acceptable."

As more and more absurd stunts (on behalf of Exxon, but pitch a new biofuel made from flesh and blood for the victims of climate change), the formula begins to feel repetitive, and when the bad guys stop taking the bait, the film's message is flat.

Even when the indictment of free market capitalism is not convincing, their sardonic humor carries the show. Whether this disastrous loss conference, yes, but the debut of "SurvivaBall", developed by the consummate corporate villain, Halliburton. The business manager should not only this inflatable suit to protect themselves against the effects of global warming, explain the Yes Men. Asked how SurvivaBall can stand up to a terrorist attack, the couple dutifully demonstrating "turtle position" ducking its head in the orbs.

The film borrows from Michael Moore's brand Vigil Ante journalism but feels more honest and genuine than most of Moore's big budget spectacles. Yes Men Fix The World Premiere of HBO on Monday, July 27 at 9:00 PM ET / PT.
