Emma Watson, 19, had been dating financier Jay Barrymore, 28, since 2008 but is said to have ended their relationship after moving to the United States to attend Brown University.



A source told UK paper Mail on Sunday, “Emma and Jay were in trouble for months and with Emma at Brown University in America, the transatlantic gap proved too much for their relationship to survive.”

Emma has also apparently gotten very close with another student, Spanish musician Rafael Cebrian.

Adding that Miss Watson is now connected with Spanish musician and fellow student Rafael Cebrian, the insider tells, “Emma has been spending a lot of time with Rafael and they are virtually inseparable. Rafael belongs to the Production Workshop, a student-run theater group at Brown. He’s been acting with them since he moved to the US, and he has got Emma involved."
