Sonia Gandhi Arrives In Jammu Amid Tight Security

Jammu, May 29 (PTI) Amid tight security arrangements, UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi arrived here today on a day-long visit. On this place where that she is attend there arranged the tight security for the Sonia. Gandhi was received at the airport by Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and Pradesh Congress Committee chief Saifuddin Soz.

Sonia offered to the people on that time that she have to full support of the central government in making jammu and Kashmir a progressive state and also lauded the tribal Gujjar community's contribution in fighting terrorism in the state.

In view of her visit to Jammu city, multi-tier security has been thrown in and around GDCT complex which will be inaugurated by her, police officials said. Special Protection Group is guarding the venue along with CRPF and police. The venue has been sealed for civilian movement and traffic on the adjacent roads diverted.
