Audi India Plans For Selling Zoom 47 Percent

As the third largest German luxury car manufacturer in the country, Audi will not be in the spotlight so far as to move between Mercedes-Benz and BMW is concerned, but it is catching up with their German colleagues rather quickly.German luxury car manufacturer Audi's Indian subsidiary , said Saturday that sales in September increased by 302 cars to 205 cars in the same period last year - an increase of 47 percent.By end of 2010, Audi have sold over 2,700 cars, about 50 per cent up on last year's 1,800 units.

Audi currently collects A4, A6 and Q5 SUVs from its plant in Aurangabad and'm not add any Q7 soon.According to the company, it has sold 2,178 cars from January to September this year, recording a growth of 63 per cent last year.The company also said that the A8 LWB saloon car will be launched at the end of this year.Currently A4, A6, Q5, Q7, TT and Audi R8 super sports car is available for Audi dealers across the country.

Speaking to BS Motoring, André Konsbruck, Executive Director, region abroad, says Audi, the key to success in India is dependent on the rapidly expanding nature of the Indian market. Q3, scheduled for launch next year in Europe is definitely on the cards for India and Konsbruck says, assembly of the car is a high possibility.The A8L luxury sedan will be launched in December 2010. Audi has also confirmed that the A7 four-door coupe is on the cards too, and hopefully will be here in the first half of 2011.
