Infosys Q2 Results 2010

Infosys is an IT company headquartered in Bangalore, India, has announced Q2 result 2010 revenue for its second quarter ended September 30,2010at its official website www.infosys.com.

Infosys is one of the largest IT companies in India with 114,822 employees in 2010.It has offices in 33 countries and development centers in India, China, Australia, Britain, Canada and Japan.

Consolidated net earnings per International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) jumped 16.7% to Rs. 1737 crore on 12.1% growth in turnover to Rs. 6947 crore in the second Quarter September 2010 over Q1 June 2010.Standalone rose 11.58% to Rs 6,425 crore from Rs 5,758 crore, (QoQ).

The Board has proposed an interim dividend of Rs 10 per share par value share at Rs 5 each and a 30 year special dividend of Rs 30 per share.

Rallis India net profit rose 28.42% to Rs. 58.70 crore on 14.68% increase in turnover to Rs. 363.12 crore for the quarter ended September 2010 for the quarter ended September 2009.Wind turbine maker Suzlon Energy won orders for 168.5 megawatts of wind capacity. The company does not disclose the value of the order.

Infosys Technologies Ltd., which is regarded as India's No 2 software exporter, announced results that exceeded analysts' estimates, it is also rewarding shareholders with a special Christmas dividend.The core operating profit margin (OPM) increased to 30.2% in 2nd September 2010 quarter from 28.31% in the first quarter, 2010.
