SRK's My Name Is Khan sold for 100 crores to Fox

Actor-producer Shah Rukh Khan and filmmaker Karan Johar has in front of one of Bollywood's biggest deals with Hollywood studio. Fox STAR Studios will investments and distribute their upcoming film "My name is Khan", allegedly spending Rs.100 crore in the process.

Shah Rukh and Karan, who is co-producing the film, announced its tie-up with Fox STAR Studios, a common gamble between 20th Century Fox and Star, at a press conference here Thursday.

"We are very pleased that Fox STAR Studios will take the blame for a film of this importance, that even in a different language, but we speak a little English in the movie also. This is a fantastic opportunity for us to take in the Indian Ocean cinema more," said Shah Rukh.

Although they are not talking about money, Fox STAR Studios has apparently bought the rights to the allocation of Rs.100 crore for the film about a Muslim who suffers from Asperger's set of symptoms, a form of autism that effects of social communication skills. He is detained by suspected terrorists in post-9/11 Los Angeles authorities after the error of his disability suspicious behavior.

Fox STAR Studios will market and distribute "My name is Khan" in India, while its sister company, Fox Searchlight Pictures and Fox twentieth century intercontinental, will distribute the film in the U.S. and other territories, respectively.

Karan Johar is wielding the mega phone for three years to describe the emotional journey of a Muslim man from India in the film where Shah Rukh, along with Kajol. In the past, the two have a key role in hits such as "Baazigar", "Karan Arjun", "Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge", "Küch Küch Hota Hai and Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham".

Speaking about the film Karan said: "I am almost afraid when it comes to make a film with Shah Rukh and Kajol. Together they have given iconic love movies, and so they increase the possibility for each time they are paired.

"This time it is again a love story, but with a different treatment. It will not be like" Dilwale Dulhania ... "or" Küch Küch Hota Hai 'and that it does not get the songs shot in Egypt or Switzerland. But it will still be a mark in the hearts of people. "
