Sunday August 2 (9pm/8c) is the finale in the next Food Network Star Season 5 winner of their own food network show will either stay-at-home mom, Melissa d'Arabian or real estate agent, Jeffrey Saad.

In another mediocre season of Next Food Network Star, I am left to wonder if it will always be a second Food Network Star. The last winner to make good on the network was Guy fieri from way back in Season 2 Can anyone remember the names of the other winners - Dan Smith and Steve McDonagh (season 1), Amy Finley (Season 3) or even last season's Aaron McCargo, Jr . Aaron is still on air with Big Daddy's House but I am not a fan.

That said, I would like to see Sunday in the hope that Jeffrey will win this season. His cooking and personality are far more interesting than Melissa or any of the previous winners. Next Food Network Star will be back soon for a sixth season. I hope the producers find some new formula to select the more interesting and talented participants, which makes me really want to vote in.
