Former Minister, Shashi Tharoor, and Sunanda Pushkar tied knot the traditional Kerala style wedding ceremony at Tharoor's old house Elavanchery Palakkad district on Sunday morning.

Marriage was a small, Malayali-themed wedding ceremony. Shashi Tharoor tied knot "THALI" per local Hindu rituals and customs, in the middle of his family and close friends.

Shashi Tharoor, the Indian member of Parliament, sported a traditional Malayali attire and Kurtha mundu and when the bride, who is a native Kashmir bore the light-colored dress as a typical Malayali bride.

The young couple was blessed by Mr. Tharoor Jayasankari grandmother, mother Lilly Chandran Tharoor, uncles and Mukundan Unni Narayanan Unni, and Miss Pushkar's father, Colonel Pushkarnath Das.

Marriage was also attended by Siva, Ms. Pushkar son his former marriage, Mr. Tharoor and sons of her first marriage, Ishaan and Kanishk.

The ceremony was broadcast live on television, except Malayalam channels, but also national networks. Shashi Tharoor today is just a member of Parliament, but he is still the favorite media and the public teat.
