Komo News, TACOMA, Wash. – The sheriff’s office says Pierce County fire that destroyed a TAPPS lake house on Sunday was arson. The News Tribune of Tacoma reports that the fire started in the basement of the house in daylight. The woman who lives in the house was in town at the time of marriage. Komo News reports and Michelle Ryan Karns returned from Las Vegas to find his home in ashes. The jets were responding to a float plane that had entered restricted presidential air space over Western Washington while President Barack Obama was in town. The plane landed safely at a float plane harbor in Kenmore on the northern shores of Lake Washington.
